How to Curate Your Dream Wedding Website

Tips & Advice

You’ve locked in your date, venue, and registry, and are getting ready to send out your save-the-date invitations! Now is a great time to dig into the building and design of your wedding website. This is typically about 6-9 months out from your wedding day.

What are popular platforms to build a wedding website on?

  • The Know
  • Zola
  • Wedding Wire

What should we include?

  • Share Your Love Story
    • Tell your family and friends about your proposal story, and a fun memory together, and add some of your favorite photos together. This could be a fun place to feature any proposal and/or engagement pictures.
  • It’s All In The  Details
    • This is a great place to highlight some of the guest experiences. For example, if you booked a room block at a hotel, or feature hotels in the area to accommodate all budget levels. Additionally, if people are traveling to your wedding, you can highlight the closest airport nearby, or local activities if guests are coming early for the wedding weekend.
  • Personal Favorite – Meet the Wedding Party
    • Include fun photos of each member of your wedding party, and share a fun story about each person. This is a great space to highlight why these friends and/or family are standing by your side on your special day.
  • Link the Registry
    • Showcase your registry links, all centralized in one spot allows easy access for your guests to pick something out for you and your partner. You can also create cash buckets, which allow guests to contribute to your honeymoon, future home, or the purchase of a puppy to start your family! Linking where you’re registered allows your guests easy access to your registry. You will also be notified when someone has made a selection!

Bonus Content

  • A wedding countdown — who doesn’t love counting down the days to such a big celebration of love!
  • The dress code for wedding day attire is especially important if you are hosting a semi-formal or formal wedding.
  • Guests will enjoy a general event flow to anticipate what the weekend will look like if you are hosting a welcome party or farewell brunch
